So as many of you may have seen on Sunrise, I recently did a stand up gig at an open mic night at the Lagh Garage. They could only play then 'clean' version on Sunrise, so here's the uncut version for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!
Ok, so our latest challenge for Sunrise is to complete something on our bucket list.
We got a tonne of emails coming in with people suggesting things we could do. For me, I've always wanted to do a set at a stand up comedy night. When I flung this idea around in a production meeting, I never actually thought this would come into fruition.
Until yesterday when I got a call from one of our producers. "Kochie they can get you five minutes at the Laugh Garage, tonight. We'll have a camera there." Well when I got off the phone I was 'something' myself (you can fill in the blanks, let's keep this clean). But after a while I thought, what the hell, you only live once, and this was my bucket list after all.
So last night I headed into the city with my entourage, which as much as I love them are not as cool as Vinny Chase's on actual Entourage. I had Lib, Brie, Cj, Aj and Georgie in tow for guaranteed laughs up the back. So I got there, indulged in a bit of liquid courage, and before I knew it I was up. Heart pounding, palms sweating I stood up, stared into the bright lights and expectant faces, and I was away. I'm not going to give away my (albeit bad) jokes just yet, the whole thing will be on Sunrise on Monday.
